The Arnold Sports Festival is Arnold Schwarzenegger's worldwide Crusade of Fitness, Health and Well-being. It is also Australia’s largest fitness expo and multi-sport festival. In addition to the numerous commercial exhibitors, the Festival has over 40 different sporting events and activities, with 10,000 professional and amateur competitors taking part.
This year, Chess World/Kids Unlimited will be running the Chess activities, which include one main tournament each day:
Friday 10.15 to 2pm - "Arnold Secondary Interschool Chess Tournament" To register your school, or for more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
And over the weekend, two fun Open Competitions will be held:
Register early - Maximum numbers approx 80 players per event
Significant cash prizes for the Sunday Blitz - Total $ dependent on entries (non-profit event)
Fees above include greatly subsidised entry to the wider exhibition
Arnold Schwarzenegger plays chess!! He will be in the building at all times and will definitely visit us at the Chess Exhibit at least once over the 3 days!! (unlikely to be playing in Blitz or Transfer, but, hey, if he wants to....)
Entry fees are great value and include an Athlete Entry Pass valid for browsing the full sports festival 10am-6pm Friday to Sunday. Enter the Saturday Transfer Chess and/or the Sunday Blitz Tournament only by using the Entry Buttons on this page. Early entry is very much recommended. If there is room, we may accept walk-up entries on the day, but to do this you will need to pay your own exhibition entry fees to gain access to the building.
A maximum of 2 additional 3-day Exhibition Entry Passes can be purchased via the entry form at a subsidised rate for accompanying family members
